Call Center Associate

JOB STATEMENT

Provide basic customer service over the phone in a structured call center environment.                                                                                                                                                                                                                   

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Handle incoming calls and provide information on clinic services.
  • Identify customer needs and assist with scheduling, call transfers, or inquiries.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic customer concerns.
  • Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments based on availability. 
  • Verify insurance coverage and sliding fee eligibility.  
  • Document and relay messages efficiently. 
  • Respond to after-hours service messages promptly.
  • Assess call urgency and escalate to appropriate staff (e.g., nurses).
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by supervision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Specialized Training/Certifications: None

    • Bilingual – English & Spanish
  • Abilities:
    • Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language.
    • Ability to sit for majority of the shift.
    • Must be able to bend or stoop.
    • Must be able to lift 20 lbs. unassisted.
    • Must have good vision (e.g, near acuity and depth perception)
  • Other:
    • Must be able to periodically work on Saturdays and travel locally as needed.
    • Must maintain required immunizations.
